The sauerbraten is just delicious. You could lean into the sauce. Red cabbage, salad and applesauce round off the whole thing. Another delicious beer, what more do you need. I almost forgot the nice service ... Everything was great

Mega yummy. Good service. The sauerbraten is a must. Side dishes can even be mixed. I find the Aachen Sauerbraten a lot tastier than others.

The Sauerbratenpalast - an institution, owned by the family for 42 years. Due to corona times currently only 6 tables. The small hall is closed. So it is advisable to make a reservation. Quality, quantity and the friendliness of the waiters as excellent as ever. The schnitzel are also recommended. We would love to come back.

As always. Best sauerbraten great service Despite Corona it is always an experience.

The local is really easy to get to! The convenient transport links make a jaunt there quickly and easily, and we've never had a cold dish in the restaurant before. The selection of drinks also leaves nothing to be desired. I haven't been so fascinated by a restaurant in a long time. Fast and polite service. I think that all the staff did a harmonious job there.

The cooking is really really good and "real". Even if the restaurant doesn't look really inviting from the outside, it is definitely worth a visit. Because it's not just the sauerbraten that tastes great, I can really recommend all of the dishes here. The prices are more than fair and so now and then we come to the well-known Sauberbratenpalast here in Aachen

Delicious and genuine handcraft, good meat and a lot of cosiness in the country atmosphere styles ... I drink water with it, but for every taste it is really relaxed and typical Öcher tip

100% recommended! Sauerbraten with fries and red cabbage just awesome. Staff is always friendly, the food is always delicious, and above all, consistent in quality (1a) for many years.

Slightly off the beaten track, but a great place with traditional German food

The most delicious Sauerbraten I have eaten so far, I can only recommend. Combination with dumplings and fries or pasta are also possible. Go and enjoy, one of the few local in Aachen which still has cult status.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Aachen! I'm not a fan of German food - but the Sauerbraten is the highlight! Just for a trip to Aachen worthwhile. The Sauerbraten comes in a sweet gravy and I recommend the fries and instead of red cabbage I would choose the salad. This is dressed up with a special, very tasty dressing. The complete portion is very big. The restaurant is quaint, rustic and the service was direct and friendly.

Very good food but terrible service. If you have a lot of time to spare it’s worth the wait though.

Do not go there if you are not german. The service is terrible, they do not speak one word of english, even if you talk to them in german they claim they don't understand. The people in charge seem to be angry when waiting tables and taking the order. The place is ugly and they have no WiFi. The food... looks messy. It seems that they put all the leftovers in one plate. They claim is the best german restaurant in Aachen, this ... may be true for some people.. but you will only enjoy it if you actually like german food... personally I've to better german places in Aachen with significantly better service. Latinoamericanos, españoles: NO VAYAN, ES HORRIBLE. La gente es grosera, la comida mala y poco variada, no hay nada de ambiente, cuando entras parece que entraste a un funeral y el lugar es bastante feo. Pero sobre todo ... los dueños... parace que quieren que te vayas y que les molesta que pidas comida.

Traditional restaurant serving a regional special beef dish called Sauerbraten. It's the perfect place and I come here each time I visit aachen Please don't expect fancy or kind service It's a bit rough but real and the sauerbraten with fries is amazing

Very best of Sauerbraten!

Nice typical German style restaurant and good food. Unfortunately we felt not welcome here and this tainted our experience. Service rolled their eyes when I tried to order in what they thought was insufficient German. They felt extremely impatient and were rude to my partner who does not speak any German. We liked the atmosphere of the restaurant but this experience left us feeling upset and we definitely would not come back.

Incredibly fantastic! I was in Europe for 18 days and had many, many wonderful meals at quite a variety of places, yet my meal at Sauerbraten Palast really stands out as one of the best. The service was good and friendly, and the Sauerbraten was phenomenal! The sauce was so perfectly balanced between tangy, sour, sweet and mildly spicy. It was just so luscious and velvety. So perfect! I was such a happy camper. Really awesome.

We stopped in because the reviews were good and seveal other places we tried were closed... and actually this was a very nice surprise. The Sauerbraten with fries was amazing and someting totally new to me too. Yum! Now I'll be looking for some place that does this back home in the US.
